I did it. I drove the big rig up the I-5, unloaded it on Capitol Hill, and now I am officially no longer homeless. My feet didn't really reach the pedals, even when I moved the seat up as far as it would go (is 5'4" really the bare minimum American height?), but it did have a/c and a pretty good radio, and it was a lot of fun to fantasize about crushing the SUVs.
I am so, so excited about being settled. And I have a whole week before work starts! The plan right now is to unpack like mad tomorrow and Monday, and then on Tuesday---kitty! Any name suggestions? It depends on the kitty, of course, but I've been thinking of Biscuit.
