So, this just happened.
Two attorneys were walking past my desk, and one of them--let's call him Major Asshole--was mumbling to the other about how he had messed something up, and joking about how he was going to lose his job. Then Major Asshole says to Attorney #2:
"Yeah, next thing you know, Red Dirt Girl is going to have my job! Ha ha ha hahahaha!"
Because you know, there's nothing funnier than the idea that a lowly RECEPTIONIST, such as myself, might one day be an attorney! Because I obviously have shit for brains! Ha ha HA!
I sat there in stony silence.
To his credit, Attorney #2 came back later and said he had nothing to do with that stupid, insensitive comment.
