A mom and her 6-year-old daughter just came up to the reference desk.
�I asked her what kind of books she wanted today,� the mom said, �and she said she wanted books about spies.�
It turned out that the daughter was a big fan of Harriet the Spy, and wanted to learn the tricks of the trade. She peeked out from behind a stack of books during most of the reference interview. On our way out to the stacks, she whispered to her mom, "I was spying on you."
