I really wish it would just be summer. It's not even really raining so much, which would at least be good for my tomato plants. It's just being cloudy and cold and stupid.
On one of the rare warm days (72 degrees) last week, I overheard a guy in a cafe say to the woman he was with, "Boy, I'm really ready for the cold weather to set in again. This heat is stifling." He was lucky he didn't get punched.
And from the shameless files: The booker guy gave R.'s band about 7,000 free tickets for the show they are playing next week, Thursday the 21st, so if you want one (some) let me know. The show is at Nectars and I know that Fremont can be a little scary at night, what with all the frat boys running around loose. But I will totally have your back.
